Lane is an MFA Candidate in Directing at the University of Texas at Austin, class of 2020.
Lane is currently in preproduction for their feature film Addict Named Hal, which tells the story of a group of recovering addicts living in a halfway house and is based on Lane’s own experience. Lane and the team recently closed a successful $22,000 Kickstarter to fund principal photography.
Lane just wrapped a series of short films on queer experiences of pornography. Each of the 7 narrative films tells a story of discovery, expression, exploration, trauma, and more from writers across the LGBT+ spectrum.
Lane is in festival distribution for a short film of their award-winning play "Addict Named Hal," which filmed May 5-7, 2018 in Austin, TX. “Hal” will show in the REEL Recovery Film Festival in Los Angeles, CA October 11-17, 2019 and in New York, NY November 1-7, 2019.
Lane is also in festival distribution and post-production for two new short films: “After You,” co-directed with Taylor Mansmann, and “Marigolds,” co-directed with Cristoforo Magliozzi. Both filmed in November 2018 in Austin, TX.
Lane’s queer farce Lipstick will have its World Premiere at Island City Stage in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, November 14-December 15, 2019.
Lipstick will go on to play at MadLab Theatre in Columbus, OH, December 5-21.
Lane will direct Not Omaha by Paul Kruse as part of UT New Theatre, curated by KJ Sanchez and Alex Bassiakou Shaw. Playing at the UT Austin Lab Theatre, March 3-13, 2020.
