How to Be Successful in Housing

Lane was the 2023-2024 Resident Artist with Mission First Housing Group and coLAB Arts. As part of his residency, Lane was tasked with envisioning an arts project that would serve the needs of the community living in this permanent supportive housing development.

Lane created the graphic guide How to Be Successful in Housing, the intention of which is to help people set priorities and overcome emotional barriers to accessing resources when they reenter housing. Lane hired the illustrator Kennedy Ketcham to make the guide feel approachable and inviting. The full guide is available for free, and Lane will work with additional counties and resource centers to print book versions of the guide. Video versions and a Spanish translation are also available on the website.
